I sat down not too long ago with Karenna Gore, the Director of the Center for Earth Ethics at Union Theological Seminary, an environmental activist, the author of the book, “Lighting the Way: 9 Women Who Shaped Modern America,” and the daughter of the former Vice-President Al Gore, for my Interviews with the Leading Edge video interview series.
Karenna’s work advocating for a new way of how we live on this planet is having a tremendous impact. While someone with her pedigree – having come of age while her father was Vice-President – could be sitting in the spotlight and making a living as a pundit in various media, she instead has devoted herself to helping all living beings realize the wisdom of living in an evolved – ecologically, spiritually, and culturally – loving, and humane way together.
The Center for Earth Ethics, the organization Karenna founded and directs, bridges the worlds of religion, academia, politics and culture in order to help discern and pursue the changes that are necessary to stop ecological destruction and create a society that values life.
Like the women Karenna profiled in her book, “Lighting the Way: 9 Women Who Shaped Modern America,” Karenna Gore is also lighting the way and helping to shape modern America.
I invite you to watch this very enlightening interview that among other things, delves into the understanding of why climate change is a moral issue, and what we all can do to advocate for our beautiful planet. You can do so right here: Karenna Gore interview
