Thomas Paine was, according to the Huffington Post – the one truly radical Founding Father, fighting for the soul of America. He fought to set a country free, and to make room upon the earth for honest men to live in. He also believed that despots seek out wars as a way of controlling their own people. Fast forward to 2015 and we have 2 million American children homeless and 15 million hungry.
Is this the American Dream, to fill the coffers of our armament industry instead of the stomachs of our children? When will the unquenchable and endless thirst for war dry up?
