Elephant Journal suggests doing the following to enhance your practice:
1. Keep it organized: pick one place to put all your thoughts about your meditation practice.
2. Choose a format for your notes.
3. Keep it short and to the point. What did you notice & how did it make you feel?
4. Review! After 6 or so months review your journal – the way your practice has evolved reflects your own transformation.
