Jenna, Interior Designer at SAS Interiors, shares this tip for upcycling. One of my favorite ways to shop is with a $0 budget. How is that possible? By shopping your home. Take a tour around your house and look for items that you’re tired of. Then with a little creativity, give them a fresh new look. It can be as simple as a coat of spray paint or taking the item and completely changing it’s function. Picture credit: furniteka.com … [Read more...]

Artist transforms trash into awesome tiny homes for the homeless
Sculptor Gregory Kloehn has dubbed his grassroots, community-oriented initiative in Oakland "the Homeless Homes Project". Stores were allowed to pass the cost on to consumers either in bag charges or absorbed into the prices of other items - resulting in a 60% drop in bag use! Something has to change …
The very rich are often described as wealth creators. But they have preyed upon the earth’s natural wealth and their workers’ labor and creativity, impoverishing both people and planet. Now they have almost bankrupted us. The wealth creators of neoliberal mythology are some of the most effective wealth destroyers the world has ever seen.
