Today I'd like to talk about the health of the U.S.: I am sorry to report this but the United States is a sick country, and one that knows nothing about what health and healing truly is. Its medical system is highly flawed, in danger of collapse and is primarily a sick-care system. The U.S. spends twice as much on health care per capita than any other country, yet people are twice as sick due to the high rates of chronic disease: 75% of all … [Read more...]

A test plant in Australia has broken a world record and proved solar power could replace fossil fuels!
A CSIRO solar thermal test plant in Newcastle, Australia, has generated “supercritical” steam at a pressure of 23.5 MPa (3400 psi) and 570°C (1,058°F). "It's like breaking the sound barrier; this step change proves solar has the potential to compete with the peak performance capabilities of fossil fuel sources," Said Dr Alex Wonhas, CSIRO’s Energy Director. “In the beginning there were only probabilities…
The universe could only come into existence if someone observed it. It does not matter that the observers turned up several billion years later. The universe exists because we are aware of it.” Martin Rees, quantum physicist. Image credit: Do you yoga? facebook page. … [Read more...]
Design for organic skyscraper built out of garbage generated by occupants
Chartier-Corbasson Architectes propose a tower for London that grows as needed with its walls built from the garbage generated by its occupants and by construction sites in the neighborhood. The structure is built out of short tubular elements, so no crane is needed. It is modelled on the scaffolding that one sees on the exterior of buildings in Asia. Our universe, our world, and our way of life is a blend of the scientific and spiritual
The tangible and the intangible. When the scientific and spiritual are combined, a higher, deeper, and broader logic and way of knowing, one that encompasses the intuitive understandings that the original Quantum Revolution brought forth, emerges. Three ways this year’s Brazil World Cup is going green
The new World Cup stadium Estadio Nacionál Mané Garrincha has 2.5 MW of solar capacity from 1,500 solar panels ringing the roof. All 12 World Cup hosting stadiums will have LEED certification - a 1st in World Cup history! The government in Brazil has begun offsets and has already offset 115,000 tonnes of carbon through 'donations' of offsets from companies that then get to sport a special World Cup 'green seal'. Bio-digital, interactive Urban Algae Canopy produces a small forest’s worth of oxygen
London-based Ecologic Studio's latest development is this fascinating Urban Algae Canopy Module, which features bio-digitally activated, micro-algal cultivation that is responsive to various environmental factors. The canopy will change dynamically, thanks to various sensors that will react to environmental variables to control the interior flow of water and carbon dioxide, which act as a growing medium for the algae within.
