Interviews with the Leading Edge: Charles Eisenstein, Author of Sacred Economics

Today is an exclusive live video interview with Charles Eisenstein, author of the book “Sacred Economics,” for the interview series “Interviews with the Leading Edge.”

In this series of interviews, I engage with people who are on the leading edge of transformational change, doing work to further the consciousness revolution and how it is manifesting in culture, politics and spirituality, in order to help bring along a more enlightened society.

Charles Eisenstein

Charles Eisenstein is one such person. He is a teacher, speaker, and writer focusing on themes of civilization, consciousness, money, and human cultural evolution, and the author of “The Ascent of Humanity” and “Sacred Economics: Money, Gift, and Society in the Age of Transition.” Charles graduated from Yale University in 1989 with a degree in mathematics and philosophy and spent the next 10 years as a Chinese-English translator.

He has been called “one of the up-and-coming great minds of our time.”

I met up with Charles at the Kripalu Yoga Center in Lenox, MA, where he had given a workshop on the idea of Sacred Economics. Charles has an expansive and deep-reaching mind, and is able to take complex ideas and concepts and articulate answers in a manner that make them simple to understand without being simple or pat.

In this interview, Charles speaks about sacred economics, the gift economy and how we can transform society into the more beautiful world our hearts tell us is possible.
