The Revolution That’s Coming is the Revolution Within Us

I said in my last post, The Relationship Between Our Disconnect and the World’s Problems, that as more people move past the disconnect that is so pervasive in our society and awaken to living a more connected life, it will then create a revolution towards a more holistic, sustainable and enlightened society and world.

This is a movement that is growing, and it is welcoming you to join it.

This revolution is predicated on each of us adopting more enlightened behaviors and transcending old patterns that were prevalent in closed societies and cultures, and moving into new patterns that are part of evolved open societies and cultures.

When we become more open, we can feel and sense that in our body, and we start to see the world in a new way. We want to be open – that’s what nature expects of us, just as flowers always bloom.

But it’s our negative habits and patterns, developed over years of living and usually originating in childhood, that keep us in the closed way of thinking, living and being.

The reptilian brain, the small part of our brain located in the brainstem, is where the habitual patterns reside. You see, the reptilian brain is in charge of survival, and is very instinctual in its mechanisms. Its aim is to attack, kill, or run away, in order to protect itself. For a human, this manifests in the base emotions of fear, anger, greed, narcissism, and knee-jerk reactivity.

These emotions are the hallmark of a closed approach to life.

But when we move past the closed approach, when we consciously choose to evolve and use our higher cognitive functions, we become more open. And as more people become more open, as is happening all around us and all around the world, this then creates a revolution within ourselves and in society at large, because as more people evolve and become open, culture then becomes more evolved and open.

Evolution in consciousness – the way we think – and culture proceed together; as individuals evolve and become more open, culture also then evolves and becomes more open – hence the development of an evolved open culture.

As humans evolve their way of thinking to a more open way, culture evolves into a more open one. And as this occurs, new ways of doing things take place.

And when culture becomes more open, that’s when the magic begins, as at this point this revolution then becomes an unstoppable force.

These are important points in my new movie, “On the Path to Strawberry Fields.” For a limited time, you can watch the film for free: “On the Path to Strawberry Fields.”
