The Biggest Impediment to Strawberry Fields

Strawberry Fields in Central Park in New York City, the living memorial to John Lennon

In my prior blog post, Should We Live in Hope or Fear?, I talked about my upcoming film “On the Path to Strawberry Fields,” and how, even with all the vitriol and hate being spewed out these days, when you look beyond it, you can see a path forward that gives you – and all of us – hope.

I metaphorically call this place Strawberry Fields, as in Strawberry Fields, the area in Central Park in New York City that is a living memorial to John Lennon. At the center of Strawberry Fields is a mosaic that says “Imagine.”

I have been to Strawberry Fields countless times; I find it to be a sacred space, imbued with hope, love, the creative spirit, and a magical spark that propels us to unleash something powerful that resides within.

What is that something powerful that resides within? It is the power of the human mind and spirit to create, to innovate, to move past that which holds us back, in order to imagine and create a bold vision for ourselves, our society, and our world.

Too easily we allow ourselves to not grasp that power within, and not let Strawberry Fields into our hearts. What is it that holds us back?

It’s something so ingrained and embedded in our psyche that we act as if it’s normal. It’s the disconnect we have from ourselves and one another.

At the center of Strawberry Fields is a mosaic inscribed with the words “Imagine.”

At the root of this disconnect is our fast-paced world that causes us to be busier and busier. The cost of this disconnect is our humanity.

As we lose our humanity bit by bit, we then lose sight of what matters most – and what matters most is a life of meaning and purpose. It is from living a life of meaning and purpose that a transformation takes place within, which then leads you to gain the potential to awaken to something greater.

You then move beyond the self-imposed limitations you impose on yourselves and into the realm of a world in which anything is possible.

This is an age of miracles, and the greatest miracle upon us is what is coming: the land of Strawberry Fields.

For a limited time, you can watch the film for free at: On the Path to Strawberry Fields.
